i am soooooo happy today. i got gifts from hk disneyland! as in the shop which has started its run in the airport. Bel didn't wanna tell me what she got, she just told me it should be something i like.
well, hell did i like it! haha. i was so delirious when i saw the hk disneyland plastic bag! and of cos the gift was great! so happy! thanks so much to Bel again =D and the keychain is so cutesy, i can't bear to use it! heeeee.

i'm bored sick these few days stuck at home busy rushing for MRSH survey and data-entry. except for today, where i got to eat out, but home again after that. my parents supposedly were going supamarketing but decided to just have dinner out. argh.
but it's okay, i'm not complaining.i was pretty tired in the noon, sleep deprived the night before.
argh. something is wrong wit me. i should really start practicising sleeping and waking like a normal human being.
too much 5am bedtimes has made me roll for 1-2 hours last night(which i actually went to bed at 2plus) before waking at 7plus for skool. wasn't really tired in the morning but i guess it got to me after i got home.
and the curry-don(or whatever you call it) hasn't digested since 10pm's dinner time. argh. i need to sleep earlier. desperately.
bumped into raymond at the skool bus-stop today and he just tagged me a 'hiao lady'. apparently, he thought i put on mascara or eye shadow? i was like oh shux now my dark rings are looking that bad. but he still doesn't believe and insists i put on some eye make-up.
actually it ain't that bad huh? strangers will think i put on some make-up. now i can start saving for my shanghai trip instead of spending on eye make-up? haha. shiteee.

slacked my ass off at home today. oh my. laziness has again forced me to skip lectures. oh yea and EM.
woke up to a rainy morning yesterday and thought to myself, 'ah, what the heck. today's lesson requires us to being out lappy. so damn heavy, plus the rain?'
and silently, my brain chanted, 'sleep in....sleeeeep in....sleeeeeeppp innnnn.....sssllleee...ZZzzzz'
supposed to start doing the fieldwork at 2.30 but ended up later. met a few interesting people wit us trying out luck interviewing other surveyors at toa payoh interchange. ended up all the surveyors began talking rather then reaching out for respondents.
haha. well lets see, there's surveyors from AIA- who wanted our number so as to pull us in after we grad- and Nuskin-who also got our number so as to invite us for free trials. of cos we didn't give our numbers to the AIA guy. no way are we gonna be insurance agents!
eerk. and what's friendster gotta do with recruiting us one year later? networking? no thanks!
free trial from nuskin?hmmm maybe my mum would be interested. haha.
and there was this rather wierd transit security unkle who kept asking us questions. darn irritating. and this really nice malay couple who gave us plenty of feedback about our survey.
oh yeah and this really nice housewife lady who even chatted with us about dolls that she bought and how she does customisation and puts them up for exhibitions. interesting.
conducting fieldwork is good-you get to meet different kinds of people, experience different responses ( mostly good and bad ones), test your patience( with irritating people) and test your courage( to approach strangers).
it can be bad too- spend umpteen hours searching for the right people( cos' we're each given a specific no. of age groups and education level to match) and bumping into rude people( who i haven't really encounteres yet,thank god.
but overall, we did a pretty good job getting 28 people to respond within just 2 days.

now, i need to key in the stupid codes into excel which is gonna make me cross eyed once again. but it's different now, unlike the 108 datas i gotta key in da last time. phew!
and i am so happy. i managed to grab 'the curious incident of the dog in the night-time' and 'to kill a mocking bird'. and they're both new books! haha!
the new library is nice indeed. but the han's there is kinda stingy? though i like the billboard menu with big white block letters.

but erm, ain't the reference books a lil too many?much more then the range of books we can borrow!
i think they should include a live-in hostel to accommodate the avid readers and researchers who desperately need the reference books for a few days.

Last Saturday was a rather good one wit baybeats for company.
there was a splendid show of fireworks while we were waiting for vertical rush.. unexpected. thank god i managed to get a few shots of it. heeee. fast hands.
we didn't manage to catch love me butch-heard keat say they're rather good-, only managed to catch brandtson-which was pretty good-,brand new sunset-not bad but a lil too loud- and vertical rush who didn't leave a deep impression in me.
da after show party was great wit poptart spinning all da nice chillout anthems. but damnit, i miss bloc party and the bravery!!! sigh.
not that bad after all since i manage to silly-hop to the killers, the strokes, the white stripes, elvis presley-yesh some vintage hits- , mambo anthems, etc.
ahhh..pure pleasure.
we felt a lil wierd tho' , ordinary chinese gurls watching some gigs while mats,minahs, punksters,people from the 40s-50s(they just dress like em, not ahpeks and ah mas k), seemed to surround us. all decked out in an array of interesting attires.

Caught War of the Worlds today. Tom and Dakota did a rather good job. the graphics and action was good as well. but unfortunately the storyline kinda leave you nowhere.
headed to airport rather late, therefore missed our popeye chicken. sigh. i've yet to try it! yet they claim that they're left wit only mash potatoes and bread crumps when we were supposed to order. grrr.

the airport was rather crowded at the arrivals area. while 2 busy gurls kept their eyes peeled for meiting. erm, not exactly, we were looking out for cute tourists as well. lol.
had bak kut teh outside my place after her brother picked us. they were askin what's nice at my place.

Monday
yesh bonding outing wit ma dear tb12 yesterday. fun day indeed!
met the rest at Plaza Singapura to collect the 16 (free) pizzas-coupons from roadshow(shhh!!)- and then headed down to ECP.
we had our birthday celebration-for xueting and jiaxiu- at Mac wit maz and shihui who arrived earlier wit the cake. hmm not bad, none of us bought anything from mac but yet stole their table and chairs for the cutting-cake session. lol.
all of us headed to this shelter and twisted our afternoon away wit the game of twister. after that, we all rented bicycles for 2hours and cycled from da start to the end(nearly) of ECP.
now my butt aches like fuck. lol. but it was a good ride! wit da sea breeze and peace! unlike weekends when you go there and da whole place would be packed wit picnic families. argh. especially kids riding 4-wheeled bikes.
they really freak me. riding all ova da place. damn scared i'll ride into em.
actually there wasn't much people in da noon. which is really good! no noisy kids!! only us. hee.
collin and da others went kayaking, leaving char, maz, shihui, zhenru and me riding around the track and watchin em.
oh yeah, and ECP is good, cos there's Mac's to chill! we went there for some drinks and sundae and bitchy us, even had our unfinished pizzas in there. lol. jokin and ogling at the japanese, suave and tanned father-cum-husband. lol. shux. what's wrong wit me?!

i was late today for IBS make up lesson. in the end i attended only for half an hour, cos as usual we were off 1 hour earlier! damnit waste my blardy time. shouldn't have went for that stupid lesson! gah.
rushed down to centrepoint and accompanied my mum for haircut. or rather i had ma hair cut too. hee. tho it ain't much difference after cutting. still as long. only a slight trim. waste of money? hmmm maybe but mum's paying and i ain't complaining :D
had chicken rice for dinner and then to esprit to get a pressie for my sis's bf. and then savouring more snacks at taka's spore food festival. heee.

sucha freakingly hot weather today! nearly died of heat wave.
went medical check up wit ma mum before heading to toapayoh central to check da trade-in price for my 2 used cellphones. argh i soooo need to get V3 soon! saw a promo from singtel today. but damit, i forgot that my mum's line is signed under my dad's name. aahhh!!!
why has he gotta go China now?!!! say goodbye to my dream phone.

even M1 was having a promo but at an additional SGD$30 which i'm unwilling to pay. damnit.damnit.damnit. when am i gonna see the next promo for V3? sigh :(
went to aunt janatta's place for dinner before heading to a wake. now i know how inconvenient it is to travel around without a car! thanks to lazy me who neva makes up my mind to take up driving lessons. i sooo need da license now!

met bern-yesh! our first time clubbing together!- pat and trisha in town before heading down to zouk together. it's been sucha long time since i hafta queue for zouk.
not because i'm receiving VIP treatment. but cos' i always arrive too late. lol.
the place was packed at both sides, phuture and zouk. particularly wit more ang mos. no idea why though. and not forgetting many NP students. our group already made up of 3 plus bumping into jacq-hot podium dancer, jessica- da hot bare-backer, vincent-wit his unkle model friends, haddad-ex-module mate, an wen-coursemate and his peeps, huishan- my sec skool cum current skoolmate. bumped into keat and gang as well as da drunkard- stanley. why drunkard?cos' when i met him, he was already gone( drunk).
took us about an hour to meet cos' wheneva i'm in phuture, he'll be in zouk and when i'm in zouk, he'll be in phuture. lol. and the place was too packed to meet! oh yeah i'll always remember the infamous 'hey! isn't that xia xue?!' not forgetting you pointing at her!! haha. and the clueless lady looking at us. xia xue? i think it's xia sway- which means embarassing, i think. lol. hmm why everyone seems to know her? is she really that popular a blogger? i'll neva forget how we reacted as well. was freaking busy these 2 days! phew. finally get the chance to rest my feet. been so busy that i hafta skip my breaks-or rather i'm trying to eat less- to help out at the booth. but these 2 days has truly been fun-filled!
getting to know some other strangers from marketing, bonding more wit classmates, busy playing games wit our registered customers, persuading strangers to sign up wit us. oooh.. not forgetting sweating damn hard cos' of da hot weather and no air-con! oh yeah and checking out cute guys. lol. no idea why but that area seems to be flooded wit more guys than gurls.
muahahah. opps.
we were pretty unprepared on monday wit everyone getting in late and da sales peeps at vpost ain't exactly happy wit us- infact, she had a black face- cos every other class was well- prepared.
but of cos things went well for the afternoon. we were presented wit a target of 1600 sign-ups for 2 days- wtf right- but well we did it! hooray!! damn happy.
we only hit 636 on da first day- supposed to be 800- but managed to cover up on da second day. ain't it amazing? hee. da whole class were pretty surprised thinkin that response on 2nd day should normally be worst. miracles do happen after all. :D
it was a really motivating roadshow wit our booth being the most successful.
eh bing gua! whoeva said vpost sucks?! tupperware sucks k! haha.
da other booths were starhub cable tv, 3 beautys, Amore, Tupperware and SingPost-mystamps.
well da free gifts did help a whole load. heee. typical sporeans, at the very mention of free gifts would sign up.
except for a few stubborn cows who don't even bother to stop and listen or either they insist upon not signing up. sigh. wtf? whats so difficult about signing up? no strings attached man! you goons!
i managed to get a tissue holder home. gee. hehe. it's damn nice lah not some typical lousy flimsy tissue- cloth holder k! and we got pizza hut vouchers, haagen daaz vouchers, photo frame, umbrellas, mugs and tissue box ready for giveaways too. it's fun watch students spin the wheel/ throw the dice and watch the excitement of these excited students. lol. and the attempts at cheating, which of cos' couldn't escape the game master's- effie- eyes. haha.
mr henry koh was rather nice and encouraging, trying to get passer-bys to sign up and trying to help us. well he should cos' he's our advisor! haha. but then, da other classes' advisors are not this nice!
he was happily snapping away wit his canon camera and wants us to pose this and that way. lol. so damn cute lah. such an enthusiastic lecturer :D
it was fun popping by my ex-classmates' booths and making fun of each others' products as well. and not forgettin snapping away at practically everything except strangers. hee.
glad that our booth set-up is sucha successful one! can't imagine our class could actually run a business so well. undescribable feeling. just so glad :) anyways we've got 2 more road shows to come so lets work hard and well wit each other and brace ourselves for it!

these 2 days certain left me fagged. even much more tedious than a regular full-shift job! haha. cos i didn't really get to sit or no time for lunch breaks. but then again we were too busy to even take a break. hee. and i even forgot about it!

Sunday.
was tuning to some webcast on live8live.com featuring bands like The killers, Coldplay, Audioslave, Snow Patrol, U2, Pink Floyd and whole load more other acts. damn nice lah. The Killers were all dressed in white but sang only 'All These Things I've Done' :( so disappointing. but too bad the charity show is staged in London, Rome, Philadelphia, Toronto and Berlin. but London one's da best! really kewl show to raise awareness instead of our dumb MediaWorks artistes performances which is so getting us uninterested.
met up wit bern for some hans at park mall again. geez. think i'm hans crazeee. haha. haven't explored park mall for a long time so i did some window shopping and feast my eyes on some good expensive funishings and ideas. ahhh. all that really made me wanna renovate and refurnish my home!
we headed down to Arts Friends to get some paper for da booth's decor for monday and then to Sincere in search of da Karim Rashid watch that bern has been wanting. well gurly, don't worry, guess it's common to wait for good things to come singapore. haha. it might hit da stores anytime soon. i'll keep a lookout at other watch shops as well :)

what a lazy afternoon it is today. woke up at around 3plus and that's like 12 hours sleep! no wonder i'm feeling lethargic already. too much sleep ain't good. gonna do some supa-marketing and then head to grandma's house for dinner later. ahh..haven't seen her for a long while.. oh no..i just remembered i haven't watched the starwars film that my cousin lent me. he's so gonna irritate me later. haha. think you guys should buy 4-D afterall, it's not everyday that effie doesn't head to town on a typical saturday.
Friday.
yesterday was a fun-filled day bonding wit my classmates. new classmates of cos'. we were supposed to have some short discussion about the roadshow after Sales management consultation wit da irritating bitch but we all stayed back to help each other out wit the respective roles. aahhh. this class seems so much betta than the last one. which i hope my perception wouldn't be wrong. together, we cut out these 2000 flyers together while joking, teasing and talking. which i find is rather fun. da singpost guy delivered the free-gifts to us today and we were all aiming at this really nice vintage red mailbox tissue holder made of clay. everyone of us was like ' wah!! so nice! and i thought it's some stupid simple tissue holder!' and da bear was cute too. and of cos that would mean 20-14( da 2 guys obviously wouldn't want it) = 6 free bears left. lol. kidding of cos! otherwise mr henry koh is gonna chop off our heads.
trisha and pat was helping us out as well, even though they're not from our class. haha. thanks babes! not forgetting all of us busy helping ourselves to the snacks-chocs- again. haha. i really envy the bond they still have even though all of 'em are spilt up into diferent classes. unlike mine. somehow all lost touch wit each other. but anyways, i was neva close to my ex-classmates. class politics disallowed us. too much things going on in between us. you wouldn't know if that particular someone is really being nice, but yet criticises someone else behind their back. threatening in dangerous people. eek. maybe it ain't a bad thing that we weren't close after all. in fact, it is good. sometimes i wonder why other classes can go on class outings together, shopping, clubbing, chilling, etc. but us? we were friends only in class. sadly. but all that might be caused by different interests and tastes in life? most probably.
still remember the first 2 years. effie would dread to go skool every single day. completely no motivation for skool at all. hate every sunday cos' i knew it's back to stupid monday again. classes were boring wit jokes made out of me. and not just boring but very much hated. people you see talking and laughing/joking to each other but you just know what is actually happening behind the minds of these superficial people. just simply hate that kind of life. people say secondary skool friends are the best people in you life, or rather, betta people than poly ones. i guess it might be right after all. to a certain degree maybe? so leslee, you betta treasure your secondary skool friends!
they are really nice. not leaving me out for clubbing nights out. asking me if i would like to join 'em this wednesday. sigh. but i feel a lil wierd. all their ex-classmates are going but effie's from a different class. hmmm well, shall see about that.
after finishing the roadshow stuffs yesterday, i headed to trisha's place before heading town. apparently mel's got some last minute over-time to do and valerie's gonna be late as well. trisha's got a really cute cat wit pretty accessories. she really knows how to pamper 'em! haha.
i really liked her aunt's place wit country-side style furnishings.. nice!! warm feeling of a real home.
by the time i reached town, was already 8pm. we had some pasta at taka and as valerie drove this mini van, we went on down to cosy bay. haven't been there for sucha long while. i like the place. but a lil too many insects? scary! haha and i mean supa big ones. not mosqitoes but bugs! haha.
think we spent too much on food today. everything was so freaking expensive there. not forgetting dinner. haha.
well well. gotta rush to ah ma's place now.
