effie hadn't been to JB for like, the last 5 years? finally got the chance to shop there on thursday. yesh shop. though the trend is still rather 'out of the world', at least they do have F.O.S. oh gawd it's really so freaking cheap there! everything's like below RM$30!! okay, not everything but all that i got for maself. tee hee hee.

i fell in love wit this gold printed mickey black tee. sigh. but it's SG$50+ still quite expensive for a tee. this only saddens me a few levels, thinking about the mickey shop in singapore. absolutely cannot make it! i think da one is spore is called mickey industries or something like that. aarrhh...it's all bullshite la. da word mickey is simply used to entice peeps into thinking that they have good mickey stuff! fakeroos!
oh ya and did i mention they have really good mickey bags and other apparels which is really good? but my pocket just doesn't allow me to get em.
well JB did change alot within these few years. more up to date fashion unlike in the past, so obiang. or orbit. lol.
bern, malv and i took buses there. new experience indeed. keke. felt so much like a tourist cos i haven't tried taking buses there before! we spent the whole day at city square, eating and shopping. got a top from Seed and 2 other tops from f.o.s. yey! what good buys! Seed there ain't as cheap but it sure is cheaper than singapore.
well meals ain't supposed to be missed so we ate alot! but too bad we missed out on da sweet recipe cakes! bern said the cakes there are cheap! what a waste :( the roti- boy there ain't as good as rumoured, just that it's cheaper. couldn't really find anything else i like, which is good cos' that would save my pocket. hee hee.
dinner was at this rather cheap old skool coffee shop. lol. we were hunting for food and came across this 'zi cha' old fashioned coffee shop on the 2nd level. ordered piles of different dishes but being hungry pigs, finished em all. lol. very good hospitality for a old coffee shop wit friendly staffs. 2 thumbs up.
we talked so much till we overlooked time. lol. we slept ova at bern's as we weren't in time for the last train or buses. being effie the lazy bum who was supposed to attend lecture the next day ( since she skipped many days of skool), has already decided not to attend lecture. tsk tsk.
well malv still went for work the next day leaving me and bern sleeping like logs. after we were pretty much awake, both of us went yishun and then had tea in town! weee! tea-times are good!! then we met up wit malv for dinner at marina sq. yum yum. thank god our stomachs were able to house all that food.

you guys might have noticed why the pictures seemed to be loading lil by lil. lol. well cos there's simply too many pictures to put in here! lol. we crazee peeps took too many pictures during the 3 days. lol. but it's all in da name of fun. and love. and laughter. and tears. yeah tears.
still remembered few days back i said i dread chalets? well i lurve this one. to the core. although there were only about eleven of us. pretty small group for a chalet yeah? but i guess we were da noisiest among our other sleep-deprived neighbours :p
thanks to rod da stoneman for organising and renting this chalet. for otherwise we wouldn't have sooo much kick-ass fun. brotherhood is really true to it's name. tears were present at da first night, proven to be genuine and tightens da bond even stronger. letters written to each other, a tribute to our dearest mr guth as he's heading to army on 3rd of June. this chalet's true purpose was for him to really enjoy wit crazee peeps like us. lol.
well i couldn't make it on da 1st day as i had da blardy attachment job to attend to on Saturday. so after work on Saturday, which i spent an extra 2 hours doing over-time( which i ain't pay for!don't ask me why i even stayed.thanks to da blardy boss who didn't wanna leave), i spent my lazy evening at bern's place. bought mac's for my so called lunch at 5pm and pigged out at bern's place ova movies. her place is cosy indeed! i like her room. so girly and all. unleashed da cutesy luving gurly in me. lol.
headed down to east coast late midnight. waited for liang and rod for thousand years to come pick me up at some creepy bus stop. yes it felt like a thousand years cos it's so freaking dark and deserted. da whole lane was empty! freaked to da extend that i wanted to home if they haven't arrive soon.
by the time i reaached there, it was already around 1am. too tired and lazy to bbq food. the pit was left wit only a few wings and i just settled wit em. everyone was too tired to stay up that night but we made a huge din before da security came in and sang us a lullaby to sleep.
of cos we were a bag of cramped backs and bones da next day. everyone was so lazy to even walk to mac's for food. lunch was bought back by xuzhen. cup noodles was what i had. hee. hadn't had cup noodles for ages, tasted not bad :)
22nd May- Sunday
well well all of just just slacked da day away since we all woke around 2plus, which signifies half a day gone. we just crapped, laughed, played messed....the evening away. alan drove us to mac to get some mc cafe and snacks at 7 eleven. everyone were so lazy to even stroll there. sadly.
well 2nd night of bbq was fun wit rocking to mr brightside, time is running out, californication, blah blah blah. alan's cd was a good one. rocking to the notes strum by alan, liang and rong. it was fun fun fun! pretending to be rock stars in da band and jamming like crazee. body surfing not included. lol. at least we got our neighbours rocking wit us to mr brightside. lol.
oh not forgetting the incident of guth's wanting-to-get-the-number of some married ladee.

after that, everyone headed back to chalet and stoned while guth, liang and alan were busy 'acting' as whateva kind of professions you want em to be. lol. people who neva get tired. :D
everyone decided to leave pretty early while erin, alan, guth, rod and i went to balestier's mac. i must have mac's breeakfast within these 3 days no matter what!! that was what i promised myself, since i didn't get to eat it at da chalet. lol. well i didn't break my promise. tsk tsk.

well our purpose of getting to bugis was initially to look for da mickey mouse store that has newly opened. gawd were we disappointed. the stuff there suck. and not just plain suck but SUCK. everything was bad! a few browses through the apparels left me disppointed and disinterested in browsing at other stuff. i guess only the footwear were able to make it. the rest just looked like a rip-off from the original mickey/ disney store. sigh. DISAPPOINTMENT. i guess even m'sia's mickey store wins over this one, though i haven't been there yet. not mentioning HK's which is freaking nice!! wit all da good stuff. oh yeah and the staffs working there looked like bengs and lians, which totally freaks me out. where's da class in mickey? sigh.
anyways we ended up shopping and i bought a retro greenish clock wit calendar features and a pair of slip-ins from seiyu. the saddest thing?actually da pair of slip-ins are a lil small for my left foot but i don't care, it ain't obvious. and it's slip-in flats, not a full covered shoe, so it wouldn't hurt. or so i hope. he he...bern bought da same pair too. haha. cheap and good buys mustn't be missed out. lol.
oh dinner was great. new place for me. terra restaurant. yum yum. had da set meal, was farking full but ain't satisfied! i hafta savor the dessert!! i don't care! so i had this vanilla caffe blended thingy topped wit vanilla ice-cream.. hmmm.. yum yum. i think my tummy's kinda bloated. shux. all these eating adventures are so gonna get me killed soon :( where have these cravings come from? grrr.

saw this andy warhol fragrance range which costs only 14!! made me wanna get em too! but didn't really like the smell. absolutely <3 the design of da bottle so much!!! malv got it though.

had a great time today.

another busy day at esplanade. had a good lunch wit my parents at suntec food court. surprised that the mixed rice store which i used to lunch at during ma secondary school vacations is still there. it has been years since i last ate their yummy dishes. still nice as ever.
but there's this gay unkle i hate who works at da current new stall. he keeps staring at god knows what. he is freaking gay, tonned up body and wit tight t-shirt on. he looks a lil like some middle-aged to fourties kinda metrosexual, which made him look gayish, not stylish. thank god da old staff- friendly unkle, is still working there. but doubt he recognises me.
dad gotta leave for some meeting which leaves me and mum shopping around. had tea wit mum at this 'ya kun' stall lookalike at city link mall. cheap and nice, serves toast wit kaya, kaya buns, chilled latte/coffee/cuppucino/iced milo/teh tarik.....was really full from da heavy lunch but was forced to have tea. lol. like mother like daughter. both hungry pigs who never have enough.
met bel after work. da rest of da peeps were too busy wit work too so it's just da two of us. initially thought of having fondue at haagen daz but they were gonna close at 12am when it was already 10 plus close to 11pm by then. didn't have a choice since my work ended at 10pm. grrr. stupid 5-10pm shift on saturdays are getting on my nerves.
bel suggested to go to da airport since she drove, so i thought why not since i hadn't been there for quite awhile. decided to dine at swensons but it was about to close too! fark. we came all da way to a closing at 12am swensons. both of us was like ' what the fark?' grrrr. nevermind, we don't have much a choice cos' da other restaurants like sakae sushi, fish and co, were already closed.
i wonder what restaurants in airports are for if they do not serve 24/7. gah. no choice. so we sorta rushed through our ice-cream. but da appetizing treat was pretty much able to pay for the bad timing. walked around in search of da viewing mall but it was gone to our dismay. ggrrrr. i think it's under renovation that's why. couldn't be demolished right?! hmmm...
walked pass the immigration and somehow they seemed to beckon us to go in. sigh.... airport visits never fail to make me wanna get a ticket to any destination. i just wanna shop in da check-in counters and dfs. somehow da shops in da transit never fail to tempt me. maybe its just the feeling of leaving spore to somewhere else which makes me just so happy. this indescribable feeling...aaaahhh...holidays never fail to give me push me to wake much earlier, just to have breakfast and shopping, even if it's an early morning flight. sigh...
i so wanna go HK now....
saw mac's made me yearn for french fries. if i knew earlier, i would have chose mac over swensons. hmph! at least i can get to eat hot fudge sundae which is goodenough. geee.
we headed home after that. oohhh tomorrow i'm gonna have lunch out cos it's mothers' day. wonder where's it gonna be. hee hee. yum yum.

worked at novena square today. wee. don't need to see the other long faces in the office. thank gawd. i rather face problematic and irritating customers then see their sulky faces. oh yeah not forgetting hokkien and cheena vulgarities. arguements and disputes too. makes me feel so stressed only. working wit lewis was never a bad thing. he was lenient but a lil to commanding at times. but it's okay, he doesn't stress me. i get to sample chocolates from him yey! but he's smoke breaks are getting me irritated, a lil too many duncha think?
not forgetting da guy acts like an ah beng. lol. a pretty noisy one. but an ah beng who speaks good english. lol. or so i heard some customer comment ' oh your da first ah beng i see who speaks good english'. and our dear lewis just smiled and gladly accepted da compliment. lol.
thanks to him i never knew ah bengs eva existed in ACS barker. lol. it seems more like a skool wit rich and proud fags who think that they're good looking and are what gurls die for. ' you thought ACS no ah bengs? you dunno only...'that's what he replied. lol.
well now i know...

time really flies.. it felt like he was 45 just months ago. ageing catches up real fast! argh i hate it too. especially right after 18. sigh...

dinner at copthorne was great. good food- mostly japanese cruisine ranging from tempura udon, yong tao fu style fishcakes of many varieties, sashimi, sushi, seafood, interesting salads, blah blah...prata too! but da desserts ain't as fantastic. but goodenough. had an enjoyable dinner wit ma family and a slow stroll outside da hotel and busy photoshots. as usual. hee hee.
well seems like everyone was at zouk tonight- aj, stan and gang. asked my mum if she wanna club since zouk is so darn near and she suggested the laydees go(since it's ladies' night) except my dad should head back home. lol. but guess everyone was pretty tired after a whole day of slogging at work so all of us ended up in bed pretty early.

finally managed to get some rest from all da workload. ahhh....tho' they took away my public holiday cum off day yesterday- they claim to pay me OT rate which is totally bull cos i only get like 3 plus an hour. oh i saw the officer in charged of attachment officers and he asked me why am i working on a public holiday. lol. yeah! i so wish that he would complain about da blardy darn company. making use of cheap labor again. damit.
met natalie, ailing, huishan, yu hui and wenling for some suntanning session. too bad it wasn't very effective- i didn't get any much darker. or at least not as tanned as i wanted to be. sigh. da sun was freaking hot yet i got no idea why after 3 hours of tanning i still ain't very tanned. grrrr. pisses me off when this happens. think i need to go for the next session sometime soon.
well sentosa was freaking crowded wit da queue for the sentosa bus at da interchange, right down to da carpark but thank god it was a fast-moving one.
as usual we headed to siloso and bumped-literally, into pok. cos we spotted him much earlier but he was some distance away so we weren't sure.
we were hungry souls after 3 hours of tanning and headed down to km8 at tanjong beach. oh gawd do i feel so out of place there. everyone was there by flashy cars and they looked like around mid 20s to 30s. we were like the youngest peeps there. lol. but da place is kewl. wit good muzik to chill to. da resident dj there spins practically everything, ranging from r&b, to house, to chill out. oohhh yeah... so blardy relaxing. we ordered some drinks and chilled in da jacuzzi. da view from da pool was great, wit da spectacular sea view and people watching....everything was beautiful, da crowd, da cars, da beach, da dogs. aahhh...hell were we in miami...
i really needed this break from my dumb job :) i must say this is da next good place to soak in muzik other than clubs.
went for a quick bath and headed to sakae sushi for dinner. nice place. never been there before after da major renovation. and da good part? it was pretty deserted by then. the crowds have somehow disappeared. yey!! we luved da embience cos we were given seats in this private room. da wierd thing about this restaurant is that they do not have tables for more than 4 seater. oh my gawd. wonder what they gonna do if everyone came in crowds cos there seems to be only 1 private dining room. anyhows everyone ordered freaking alot especially me.
okay only me. lol. i had like oyako don and few plates of sushi and ma fav- chawamushi!! that is a must have for every sakae sushi session! yum yum! think it was a rather tiring day that was why i really craved for food. and then it was dessert time! they had a quiet new zealand ice cream at da corner which really tempted me to buy. haha. anyways it's low fat. yahhoo!
went home rather early. well it's okay. gotta prepare and energise myself for work tomorrow anyways :)
and yes more tanning sessions everyone! you hear me? i wasn't really tanned, unlike da others who were looking like lobsters by the time we left. i need that! haha.

boring weekend. i can just smell it even before it arrived. went to work at da wrong shift. i know wtf right? but i'm so darn sure that my supervisor told me im supposed to be on 12pm-5pm. turned out i was so darn wrong. arrived to a shocked staff who just asked ' why you here so early?' and i was like ' oh gawd this is so not happening to me'. but hell yeah did it.
so i had to go back at 5pm and gotta idle around for like 5 hrs. went to da library to read up some magazines including SPIN and The Killers was on da cover! ahh! so nice...
went on down to town to meet up wit bel and her friends for lunch before doing some window shopping. then it was back to dumb place. on ma way there i saw these really nice artwork of astroboy and mickey. so nice!!!! eee...but i was in sucha rush i couldn't stop and take a few shots. sigh. hope it's still there after maybe 2 weeks? not sure when it ends.
work has kept me busy these few weeks to the extend that blogging is really a chore for me. though it is supposed to be my leisure :D
hate this week no off day!! and working on labor day?! wtf? so freakin pissed wit OT pay like shite. grrrr. well you'll be able to get through this effie. just think of da monday trip to siloso for tanning session... aaahhhhh.......
